Viña Ardanza Reserva Especial

Rioja red wine made from Tempranillo (80%) and Garnacha (20%) grapes, grown in 30 year old vineyards. La Rioja Alta S.A., is a winery founded by five families from La Rioja and The Basque Country in 1890.

Alcoholic fermentation takes place naturally at controlled temperatures for 15 days. Malolactic fermentation is carried out for 21 days in stainless steel tanks. Then, the selected wines are put in barrels to start ageing separately: the Tempranillo for 36 months in American oak barrels and the Garnacha for 30 months rackings in American oak barrels with two and three wines.

Bright and clean cherry red colour. Intense and spicy on the nose, with complex aromas of coconut vanilla, cinnamon chocolate and balsamic notes. Well-rounded on the palate balanced acidity and fine, elegant tannins. Silky finish. Perfect with roasted and grilled meats, barbecues, poultry and game, Iberian ham and sausages, as well as semi-cured cheeses. Best served at a temperature of 17º C. 13,5% ABV.
