Ron Zacapa Solera 23
Zacapa 23 is named after the city of Zacapa, where it is aged at an altitude of 2300 meters above sea level, where the temperature is low and slows down the aging process to allow more time for aromas and flavours to combine.
How it is made
Zacapa 23 is made from the blend of rums from 6 to 23 years old using the Solera system. First-pressed sugar cane juice is left to ferment and aged at a high altitude in oak casks. This process is overseen by Lorena Vazquez, one of the few female Master Blenders in the world.
Tasting notes
Light mahogany colour with red highlights. Sweet aromas with notes of caramel and chocolate. Sweet and well-rounded. Best served straight or on the rocks. 40% ABV.
