Gran Reserva 904

Gran Reserva 904 is a red wine with Denominación de Origen Rioja, made from Tempranillo (90%) and Graciano (10%) grapes from vines over 60 year old in vineyards in Briñas, Labastida and Villalba. La Rioja Alta SA., was founded in July 1890 by five Riojan and Basque families who shared a passion for wine.

Alcoholic fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 28 °C for 15 days. Batches are selected to carry out the malolactic fermentation. Aging takes place in American oak barrels for 4 years. During ageing, the wine is racked every 6 months using traditional barrel-to-barrel methods.

Cherry red colour with ruby highlights. Pleasant and intense on the nose with aromas of nuts, chocolate, vanilla, and hints of fruits. Well-structured and balanced on the mouth, with a nice acidity and caramel notes. Long and complex finish. Perfect with meat and fish, as well as chocolate desserts.
